In the 1960s original versions, book 5a 'Where we Go' was illustrated by John Berry, book 5b 'Out in the Sun' by Frank Hampson and 5c 'More Sounds to Say' by Wingfield. Frank Hampson, like Robert Ayton and Martin Aitchison had previously illustrated comic strips for the popular comic for Boys 'The Eagle' and today is best known for his work with The Eagle - and especially for creating the character Dan Dare.
