In the original versions, book 12a 'The Holiday Camp Mystery' was illustrated by Harry Wingfield, Book 12b 'Mountain Adventure' by Martin Aitchison and the last book in the series, The Open Door to Reading - which took extracts from works of classic children's literature - was a combined effort, illustrated by Wingfield, Hampson and Embleton.
