The revised versions of books 5a and 8a were both illustrated by Martin Aitchison. It is over for these books that Aitchison used local schoolboy Adrian Heath as a model for Peter. (See this article)
This was the last book to be revised at this time. The remaining books stayed in the original format for another few years, until the entire series was re-issued with a different layout and format.
